Islam is a way of life that covers many different aspects

Western World has been profoundly influenced by Islamic culture

Without Islam there would no civilization

Without Islam there would be no technology or travel, airplanes

We have been taught that the world between 400 to 1500 was the dark ages

Dark ages is after the fall of the roman empire

The world went dark and in 15thcentury we had renaissance

Between 622 to 1492 is the Golden age of Islam

Because of its purity and its achievements

This is how Muslims made contributions

Prophet came with message of touheed, or to unite things

It also means the unity of humanity and we are all one nation

All knowledge comes from Allah

This is why Islam appealed to all the different cultures

Prophet said to seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave

Ancient civilizations from the past each thought they were great

Muslims gathered knowledge from all these great civilizations

Arabs were left alone and isolated

Then Prophet came as a mercy to all of the worlds

Prophet said letters to the kings of the world

Those who are present should take this knowledge to those who are absent

Majority of companions of Prophet died in distant lands

Islam reached all the way to the Atlantic and all the way to China

Islam reached deep south down to Africa

Muslims crossed barriers of language and culture without any conquering or armies

Muslims encountered the knowledge of all civilizations

Traditional religions assimilated the knowledge and put it along with touheedic understanding

Muslims converted theoretical knowledge to practical knowledge

Muslims did not bring anything new but brought all areas of knowledge together
