Why and How to Choose a Madhab?
All Four Madhab are part of Ahle Sunnah Wal Jammah
Ahle Sunnah wal Jammah is united by its creed and Aqeedah
A correct understanding of the Quran and Sunnah
Ahle Sunnah wal Jummah agree that it is not allowed to use reason when there is clear text from Quran and Sunnah
The religion is applied to everyone
There is no hierarchy in the deen
every muslim can have an understanding and implementation of the religion
Allah commands you to reflect but you will not be held accountable for what you cannot reflect over
There is a person who rejects the deen with their knowledge without knowing the sciences
We need the text and it can solve many problems
reading the fiqh of a scholar we must know the entire context of the scholar and their fatwa
A scholar who wrote in jail wrote pessimistic fatwas and scholar as head of judge wrote more optimistic
the situations changes the fatwas
One size does not fit all
the Sufis in every century means something different
There were times this tradition and practices were praiseworthy and times it was not
we must understand the language of the people of knowledge
The Scholar of Hadiths and Mufti are very different
Scholars of Hadith were very staunch
Scholars of Hadith took text literally
the Muftis are more kinder and compassionate with people
the danger of a person not understanding history
the language of Fiqh
in every Madhab there is a different terminology
No normal person should read Hadith
Leave the Hadith to the Scholars
It is extreme to reading it yourself and deriving rulings
the worst of people who take the Quran and Hadith out of context and applying ayah of Kufar to muslims
a scholar forgets a Hadith when he makes a judgment
there are different understanding and implementations of the Hadith
Understanding Abrogated Hadiths
Hadith was authentic and became weak later
A Madhab is a set of Usool on how to derive opinions
The ruling on following a Madhab differs from person to person
Following a Madhab is not an issue of faith
it is about finding the best approach
Not following the opinions without knowing the evidence
Ask the people of knowledge if you do not know
We should know why we are following certain things
Every one in a position to ask for as long as they have adab
A scholar should not shoe people down
Following, following with evidence, or blind following
the Madhab of the person is the one who he is asking
no one can have a school of thought unless they have thoroughly studied the Usool of the Madhab
Going to a living scholar and ask them questions and be consistent with that implementation
Joining between Madhab and just finding the easiest opinions
Otherwise it is ok to switch between Madhab
And if you find evidence to be more compelling
Just do not become arrogant about it
the Madhab of the people in salah is the one leading them
